Cheating ICICI Bank Style

Friends i think you should read this. I gave ICICI bank two Fixed deposits. They both got matured about a year ago. After they got matured i wasn't given any sort of reminder about their maturity. It was today that i realized that i actually had two fixed deposits with ICICI Bank. So i walked to the Branch as i wanted to check their status and wanted to renew them further.

To my surprise the Bank Manager told me that i wouldn't be paid any sort of Interest on the Fixed Deposit amount after the maturity date even if i renew them now because they were meant to be renewed after 1 month of maturity. This was something really "Dumb" and "Foolish" because my funds were their with the ICICI Bank and i should have got the interest for the same. All other Banks do it except for ICICI Bank. I was planning to sue them but decided not to waste my valuable time any further; so i terminated both the Fixed Deposits i had with ICICI Bank.

This was the first incident; the second one is even worst.

I got some funds wire transferred from USA into my Bank Account. To my surprise i got a exchange rate of 37.60 against the prevailing 39.40. I lost a considerable amount due to the fake "Currency Exchange" offered by ICICI Bank. I tried to contact them several times; but they had no answer and neither was i paid the amount i lost in currency exchange.

Next morning i Wire transferred funds into a Bank Account in UAE. I was charged Rs 2 more than the prevailing rate which made a considerable amount of difference

I have always had problems with ICICI Bank as far as the "Currency Exchange" rate is concerned. They have been charging me currency exchange rate of 5 % which is almost double the rate charged by any other bank. I have stopped transacting with ICICI Bank because of their unfair banking practices.

Please be aware and stop dealing with ICICI Bank as they are a "Big Cheat"
